Hey Whoever is reading my blog!

As you guessed (probably cause I have like 4 posts about it) there was a quiz meet last weekend... and it went pretty great! My team, NEXT 1, was 7th in the championships, and NEXT 2 came in... 5th Consolation? I think? The scores still aren't up, but Tara on NEXT 2 came in 4th in consolation... congratulations Tara if you're reading this!! Every single person on NEXT got at least 1 question right... yay! It was a prett tough meet, though, let me tell you, I, personally, went from quiz-out with no error to erring out with 3 correct... and it was crazy! NEXT 2 had 5 people, which means they had to have a sub, but from what I know (we always ended up quizzing at the same time).

Anyways, congrats to all the other teams too!

How did the rest of y'all do at the quiz meet??? Comment please!! Unless you have a life and really don't have the time.

Holy crap guys!!! Wow!!! I just checked the site stats and saw I have had an AMAZING 35 people view my site today!!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!! You know whats funny is how none of you ever comment on my blogs... maybe I'm just that pathetic, huh?

But WHATEVER! Just thought I'd post... 35 PEOPLE!! I know thats a pathetic number to be bouncing off the walls about, but pathetic is my middle name... actually its not cause if it was my parents would be sending me to a shrink...

Speaking of shrinking, the time left for me to be not studying is also shrinking. So enjoy your weeks.
 
 
Hi Again Fellow Quizzers!

Theres only a week left until the first District meet of Corinthians, the second meet of the year... cram the material into your already-packed cranium while you can!

Yeah, one week.  I'm super-nervous. I don't even know what team I'm on... we haven't gotten any official signs that the Beans are a go since SOMEONE decided they didn't want a 5-person team. Cough. You know who you are. I'm not gonna put out any names.

Anyways, this meet is going to be difficult... I mean, I have a REP now, I have something to match. So my mind-set is to beat my record of a 5-question quiz-out. Troy didn't think I would last time... nobody did... but I did. So I'mma try that again. Smilez!

Anyways, QUIZZERS! Wherever you are out there! Give us NEXT quizzers a run for our money! Wait, theres no money involved... uh... scratch that...

Everybody get ready, have fun, study till your brain is going to crack your skull open, doze off in PE (actually, don't. That could end up painful. Doze off in... carreer planning. As if you don't already), set your goals, read the tips on the site, but overall, remember to keep your head in the game, and take a shot for first, cause you miss all the shots you never take. See some of y'all at Vanguard, the rest of you, peace out, and keep quizzing.
 
 
Okay, so I am still shaking so I'm going to try to type this without sounding too excited. I JUST got first place at the quiz meet!  Eeeee! Very exciting! Anyways, my team got to semi-finals in the Championship rounds, which is AMAZING especially considering it wasn't the 'dream team'. NEXT 3 also made it to semi's, but in the Consolation.  NEXT 2 made it to the semi-semi's! Great job guys!

And great job to everybody else who had quiz meets this weekend!  Northern Alberta: Thanks for some amazing competition!  I'll se y'all back in November!

Anyways, next meet we might have the Beans back! So very excited!

I woke up this morning, turned on my light and studied.  I usually don't do this, but this morning I realised its a quiz meet day... HELLO WCD-ers!! AND WELCOME TO THE OFFICIAL STRESS DAY! Then I realised it was, like, 3 in the morning and decided I can't quiz if I don't sleep so I only studied for an hour.

This meet is going to be... different. I am very happy to be on a team with Laura and Henry, but sad I'm not with the beans :o(.  Oh well... the Beans (and Laura!) are going to be re-united for the next meet. 

Text has been super helpful to know, but I hate references. So thank goodness me, Lana, and Patricia had time to study together... I still wouldn't know a *cough* certain verse *couch 4:5 cough cough* that we spent *cough 15 minutes cough cough* memorizing... that was kinda funny... I made a pot of tea in the time we finished on THAT ONE VERSE! LOL!

But I guess we're all going to see how useful another study day was at the meet.  Last year I placed 5th in consolation in my first meet... and I was a rookie, so I think this one's going to be relatively less tense than practice until there are 2 or more NEXT teams in one room... then its ON! Like JAM on TOAST! LOL!

Hello again and welcome to another blog post from an obsessed study-a-holic! (that didn't come out right...)

Just thought I'd update y'all!

One week until Quiz meet time. The Beans are OFFICIALLY back together... plus Laura.  I am SO happy we got the dream team again! Watch out WCD... we are IN!

But, for the first meet we're not together because they... uh... feel like it?? I don't know. AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH! Did I MENTION that its next week?? AAAAAH!

We ALL hate chapters 4 and 5 at NEXT. ALL! of us.  Not even kidding. Probably because when they're together its so much material to memorize! By the time we get to the meet, though, we WILL be awesome! Cause thats just what we are! Yay!

And I finally got my head in the game and started on the flashcards for 1 and 2 Corinthians, so check it out homies!

You are so lucky I didn't say that out loud. Would've sounded SO wierd...
 
 
So, the first quiz meet is sneaking up on the Western Canadian Division WAY too early again. Tis the season for organizing study days/parties, dicussing team arrangements, studying way too much... and if that last one was surprising, you haven't met me yet! 2 practices left for our teams. This is happening WAY too soon!

I also have some bad news. The Beans might have to split up this year. WAAAAH! We have a wierd number of quizzers this year since one of the ppl left and we are left with 9. Which means either 3 teams of 3, or 2 teams, 1 of 4 and 1 of 5. I am kinda leaning towards 4 and 5. This way, The Beans are back and we can all have great meets. I'll blog when the descisioin is made.

Hey y'all!
All of the Beans were re-united at the first Quizzing practice of the year! We all did our verses and we're all pretty pumped for the year. Let me tell you, they don't memorize text for nothing! Its really useful! Actually, its kinda frustrating, case when you know the answer but didn't jump fast enough, and they don't know the answer, even if they're on a different team, you just wanna scream at them. But thats okay. At meets, thats what the frustration plan is for. (see dealing with nerves)
 
 
Tis the season for new quizzers, so tell your friends about this site! Tell random ppl at meets, tell your friends who might want to do Quizzing and can't decide, tell the rookies on you teams, tell your coaches, friends on other teams, friends on the same team, whatever! I just know how much I would've liked a site like this LAST year! So tell people!

Its almost here everybody!!! The next year of quizzing!!! Yay! Wow, summer flew by so fast! I am so excited! NEXT's first practice is next week... teehee! Don't forget to send in your quizzing stuff (writing, tips, ideas for the site etc.) and keep the site goin!
