Hey y'all!

Just realised that I forgot to mention how we did at Nakamun! Okay, yes I did get top rookie but I personally still stunk. I was first of 3 rookies in the division. Anyways, Patricia and Jon got 4th and 5th in the consolation (Congratulations guys!!) and our team came in second in consolation (by 20 points... still kinda bitter that I got two questions wrong that quiz... with those 40 points and without the toss-ups we WOULD'VE won... as I said... still bitter) which is awesome (Okay, I am only bitter at me. The team did great!)!!! Kinda sad that my mom and grandma had to leave Friday evening. :( Oh well.

Hi people!

For everybody from Western Canada: Yes, its true. I, Maegan from NEXT 1 am one of the 'Bean People' that did the mewing thing at Nakamun awards. Me and Patricia.

Everybody else: Funny story. At Nakamun during the awards cerimony, (I can't remember what we were up there for, the second place we got in consolation or me Patricia and Jon for Top Rookie, 4th place and 5th place) me and Patricia did this routine thing that we do forevery meet, especially with one certain quizmaster. (WCD people: I don't know his name... grey hair, glasses, room 5 at Nakamun, room 4 in St Albert, quizmaster for consolation finals? Yeah, that guy.)  Once I accidentally punched Patricia in the nose... we were in a rush and it was the finals in St Albert... MEW MEW MEW MEW ME... and I accidentally punched her becuase we were trying to link arms. It was bound to happen one time or another, but that quizmaster had been at all but one of our quizzes that day and he was laughing SO HARD his face was red because he'd "seen that thing one too many times" LOL!

Hey all!

The last quiz meet was a HUGE success for NEXT 1, and me. Our begging for mercy must have helped as we came first place in consolation, and I found out it wasn't my rookie status that made me look good when I ended up as the top rookie!

Now to say what I really intended to say in this blog. In exactly one week finals are here. In exactly one week I will be studying, not at home, but in a cabin at a summer camp. This actually could end up being one of the most emotional weekends of my life. Not kidding here. I am going to count my errors. I am going to study for hours. I will make sure that I don't pack anything but study material, a flashlight, some changes of clothes, personal care items, a whole bunch of empty notebooks, pens, a recording device, my stress ball and Motrin. I don't know why, but I get headaches so the Motrin is necessary!

Wish me and my team luck as we head into this!

]Patricia if you are reading this: We will get into champs this time!
